Office of Communications
About the office
The Office of Communications oversees all Dean’s Office activities related to communications, serving the dean and the School’s three department chairs.
Part of the Dean’s Office, it is managed by the communications director, who reports to the vice dean and chief of staff.
Responsibilities include

Supporting the dean’s communications needs.

Building, managing, developing, testing, maintaining, updating, documenting, securing, reporting on, and training editors to use the School’s web presence.

Building, managing, developing, testing, maintaining, updating, and documenting brand messaging and identity that expands upon the Office of Communications Brand Guide to meet the needs of the School.

Building, managing, maintaining, and updating the School’s communications digital assets.

Writing and editing School news that is syndicated to department sites and other sites within the School.

Writing and editing event scripts and other documents to support the needs of the Dean’s Office.

Promoting news and events via our social media presences.

Building and publishing an editorial style guide that expands upon the Office of Communications Editorial Style Guide to meet the needs of the School.

Providing guidance on branding, identity, marketing, and content strategy.
