Teaching Awards
The UCSF School of Pharmacy recognizes faculty and preceptors for excellence in teaching and mentoring through the following annual awards. Nominations are submitted by students in each class.
Didactic Teaching Awards

Dean's Apple for Teaching Awards
Given to faculty and student instructors who earned an average of 4.5 out of 5 or higher from student evaluations.

Long Foundation Teacher of the Year
Bestowed on outstanding instructors nominated by students each year, with one award given by the P1 cohort and one by the P2 cohort.
Experiential Teaching and Site Awards

IPPE Preceptor of the Year
Recognizes outstanding preceptors in the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE).

APPE Preceptor of the Year
Recognizes outstanding preceptors in the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE)

Site of the Year
Honors one site in each of the five UCSF School of Pharmacy Experiential Education regions for providing exceptional learning environments for students
