Learn about poison safety during National Poison Prevention Week
March 19–25 is National Poison Prevention Week in 2023. The California Poison Control System (CPCS) is hosting a video series to educate the public on a variety of poison-related topics aiming to increase awareness around common poisons.
As part of the UCSF School of Pharmacy’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy, CPCS delivers poison prevention services throughout California and also supports the School’s research and teaching missions.
Watch the “Close Calls with California Poison Control” video series on the CPCS Facebook page from March 20–24, 2023. CPCS poison experts Rais Vohra, MD, and Cyrus Rangan, MD, will discuss common poisonous and toxic substances, safety practices, and what to do in case of an exposure.
