Jennifer Cocohoba to Deliver 2026 Last Lecture

Jennifer Cocohoba, PharmD ’01, MAS, professor in the school’s Department of Clinical Pharmacy, has been selected to deliver the 14th annual Last Lecture, an annual honor in which students throughout UCSF elect one faculty member to answer the question: “If you had but one lecture to give, what would you say?”

Cocohoba will give her presentation on April 15, 5:30 p.m., in Cole Hall on the Parnassus Heights campus. The event will also be livestreamed

The Sumner and Hermine Marshall Endowed Last Lecture is sponsored by the Graduate and Professional Student Association, Student Life and the Alumni Association at UCSF. The lecture typically encompasses the faculty member’s professional, personal and cultural experiences that culminated in where they are today.

“Working closely with students has been an integral part of my career at UCSF, so being selected to deliver this year’s Last Lecture is an incredible honor, and particularly meaningful to me,” Cocohoba said.

An alumna of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, Cocohoba specializes in HIV/AIDS ambulatory care. She is the clinical pharmacist for the UCSF Womens’ HIV Program where she optimizes antiretroviral therapy, patient adherence, conducts chronic disease management, and opioid stewardship. She also serves as a co-faculty advisor and research mentor for the Mabuhay Health Center, a UCSF student-service learning experience.

Cocohoba conducts research on implementation of pharmacy-based interventions to improve medication adherence and access, patterns of medication use in persons with HIV, patient/provider communication, and on the health of Filipino-Americans.
