![]() UCSF School of PharmacyRequest a Review To Create An Approved Course ListIf we do not have a current, approved course list for your United States school, you may request that a course list be generated. (This process does not apply to foreign institutions.) However, we receive so many requests that we might not be able to provide you with the information until the day of your interview (if you are so invited). Any applicant who has doubts about whether or not prior course work will meet our prerequisites should see Verifying Your Prerequisite Course Work for help in identifying approved course work. Taking approved courses is the only way to guarantee that you will fulfill our prerequisites as required. The UCSF School of Pharmacy does not accept petitions to substitute prerequisite courses at this time. When Requests Are AcceptedRequests are only accepted from June 15 to July 15 each year. How to Submit a RequestTo submit a request, send the following information in an e-mail to osaca@pharmacy.ucsf.edu:
If you'd rather mail us a printed copy of the catalog, send it with a cover letter including the other information above and your e-mail address to our office. If you wish you may also send an unofficial copy of your transcript. However:
After Submitting Your RequestIf necessary, we might contact you to request more information, such as course syllabi. When our evaluation is complete, we will send you the approved course list by e-mail. However, all approvals are tentative and subject to revision until your application is received and a formal evaluation is completed. How long does it take? The time necessary to complete a course evaluation depends on a variety of factors and can range from a few weeks to several months. We complete evaluations as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee that this evaluation will be completed prior to your interview date (if so invited). You must still, however, meet the September 1 deadline by which all prerequisites must be satisfied with approved course work. We strongly advise you to enroll in approved course work until you learn if the course work you submitted for review has been approved. For established lists of approved courses, see Verifying Your Prerequisite Course Work.
