What I do

My research focuses on the development of technology and processes used to generate high quality recombinant antibody reagents to disease-relevant protein targets.

My research expertise

Protein and Antibody Engineering, Proteomics, Infectious diseases, and laboratory automation

PhD, Microbiology (Host Pathogen Interactions), University of California, Davis, 2011
BS, Microbiology, Oregon State University, 1996

I have developed high-throughput methods for the rapid generation of recombinant proteins in E. coli, baculovirus, and mammalian expression systems that are used to generate high-quality recombinant antibody reagents. I have co-designed and co-built a cutting-edge, high-throughput robotic antibody phage-display platform and techniques to identify and validate high quality renewable antibody reagents. I have also co-developed tools to generate antibodies to targets including; human transcription factors, post translational modifications (phosphorylation), protein conformations, and extracellular proteins.
