Local Navigation

We use a vertical navigation bar along the left side of our Web pages. We call this local navigation, and it's used to jump to pages that are at the same level as the page you're viewing, or just above, or just below. Local navigation enables visitors to easily jump to pages that are neighboring in the structure, which are likely to be closely related to the current page.

How to Set Up Local Navigation

The School of Pharmacy Webmaster can work with you to set up local navigation for your site. When you use our templates, it appears automatically -- you do not need to write code for it. If at a later date your directory structure changes, you must coordinate your changes going live with the Webmaster to ensure the local navigation works properly.
