Troubleshooting Problems with Video
When you encounter difficulty with video on our web site, you can usually isolate and resolve the problem using these troubleshooting steps:
-
Restart:
Restart your computer, then try viewing again. -
Reinstall:
Reinstall the player software required by the video. Links to free player software can be found at About Video. After reinstalling, restart your computer, then try viewing again. -
Turn Off Disabling Software:
If you have any kind of software which might block the player software, temporarily turn off this software. -
Reset Security Settings to Default:
If you have changed your web browser security settings to be higher than default, reset them to the default settings. Most web browsers have a button which enables you to quickly reset these settings to the default values. -
Try Other Formats:
We offer video in at least 2 formats so that if one doesn't work you can try the other which will give you an equivalent experience. -
Try Video on Other Sites:
Visit a different website and try watching one or more videos which use the same format or player. If that is also unsuccessful, the problem is probably not specific to our website. -
Try Other Browsers:
Try watching the video using a different web browser. For example, if you use Internet Explorer, try Firefox instead. If you're installing a browser for the first time, you might also need to reinstall the player software after you install the browser. -
Try Other Computers:
Try watching the video using a different computer. For example, if you use Windows, try another Windows computer or a Mac. If you use a Mac, try another Mac or a Windows computer.
When problems watching video don't appear to be specific to our website, contact the manufacturer of your computer or the player software for your support options.
