What I do
I completed specialty training in cardiology and I currently practice inpatient internal medicine. My clinical research involves anticoagulation with a specific focus in heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. I also have educational research interests in interprofessional education.
My research expertise
Dr. Tiffany Pon is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, San Francisco. Her clinical practice site is at the University of California, Davis Medical Center (UCDMC) where she provides clinical services in both internal medicine and cardiology. Research interests involve anticoagulation, including therapeutic dosing of low-molecular-weight-heparins in special populations, reversal of new anticoagulants, and heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. She is also passionate about leadership within the profession and is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists.
