Program Completion Requirements

These are the minimum requirements for completion of the PharmD to PhD career path.

1. Completion of all requirements for the PharmD program.

2. Completion of all requirements for the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics PhD program, including:

   • Completion of all required coursework for the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics PhD program. (Note: Student pharmacists will identify coursework that may be taken during the PharmD degree.)
   • One quarter service as a teaching assistant.
   • Rotations in at least three different laboratories.
   • Pass a comprehensive oral examination at the end of all PhD coursework.
   • Complete a written dissertation.
