Configure E-mail

After you have successfully set up e-mail, perform these configuration steps:

1. Install Updates:
   If running Outlook or Entourage, install Office Updates if necessary.

2. Configure Junk E-Mail Options:

   1. Select the e-mail application you use:
      • Outlook Web Access (Windows and Mac): Filter Junk E-Mail
      • Outlook 2007 (Windows): Configure junk e-mail settings
      • Outlook 2003 (Windows): Junk E-Mail Filter
      • Entourage 2008 (Mac): About junk e-mail protection
      • Entourage 2004 (Mac): Junk Email Protection
   2. To ensure that messages from UCSF mailing lists are not tagged as junk e-mail, add listsrv.ucsf.edu to your Safe Recipients list.
   3. To ensure that messages from UCSF people are not tagged as junk e-mail, add the following domains to your Safe Senders list:
      1. ucsf.edu
      2. pharmacy.ucsf.edu
