Configure E-mail
After you have successfully set up e-mail, perform these configuration steps:

Install updates:
If you use Outlook or Entourage, install Office Updates if necessary. -
Configure junk e-mail options:

Select the e-mail application you use:
- Outlook Web App (Windows and Mac): Filter Junk E-Mail
- Outlook 2010 (Windows): Overview of the Junk E-mail Filter
- Outlook 2007 (Windows): Configure junk e-mail settings
- Outlook 2003 (Windows): Junk E-Mail Filter
- Outlook 2011 (Mac): Customize junk e-mail protection
- Entourage 2008 (Mac): About junk e-mail protection
- Entourage 2004 (Mac): Junk Email Protection
If you use an e-mail application not listed above, consult the online help for that application.
- To ensure that messages from UCSF mailing lists are not tagged as junk e-mail, add listsrv.ucsf.edu to your whitelist. In Outlook and Entourage, add this to your Safe Recipients list.

To ensure that messages from UCSF people are not tagged as junk e-mail, add the following domains to your Safe Senders list:
- ucsf.edu
- pharmacy.ucsf.edu
