Wireless

Connect your device to the campus wireless network using the wireless network called UCSFwpa.

This service enables you to use either your MyAccess username and password or your UCSF Exchange email username and password. Consequently, how you change your password for this service depends on which password you're using. Unfortunately, it can be difficult or impossible to know which authentication was previously configured, especially if your MyAccess username and UCSF Exchange email username are identical. If you want to be sure, remove the existing UCSF wireless configuration from your settings, then add it anew. For setup instructions, see Wireless.

To change your password:

MyAccess:

  1. Log in to MyAccess.
  2. Select the MyAccount link.
  3. Log in to MyAccount.
  4. Select the Change Password link.

UCSF Exchange email (aka Active Directory):

If you had previously set up a pwmanage profile, log in to pwmanage.ucsf.edu to unlock your account. Otherwise, contact UCSF Customer Support at 415/514-4100 Option 3 (available 24×7).

If you're prompted for a password, try your MyAccess password. If that doesn't work, try your UCSF Exchange email password. If neither of those work, separately confirm that at least one of these sets of credentials is correct, remove the existing UCSF wireless configuration from your settings, then add it anew. For setup instructions, see Wireless.

If you must reset either password:

MyAccess password:

I forgot my MyAccess password.

UCSF Exchange email password:

See Change Your Password.

When changing your MyAccess password:
