Find a Place to Live

If you were not selected for campus housing, you should start looking for an apartment immediately. Don't wait until the last moment to get housing.

The city is composed of many districts. UCSF is located in Parnassus Heights, and nearby neighborhoods are Inner Sunset, Inner Richmond, and Upper Haight. You can also find housing outside the city in locales such as South San Francisco and San Bruno, but these locations require a longer commute.

See Find a Place to Live for links to moving guides and rental Web sites.

You may need to spend anywhere from a few days to several weeks to secure an apartment. If you do not have a place to live by the start of school, contact us. We will help you find a place to live.
