Activate your SIS account
Your Student Information System (SIS) account enables you to:
- Update your contact information with the Office of the Registrar. (See Change of Address for Entering Students for details.)
- Check your admission status for any holds on your registration.
- View your registration fees.
- View your grades.
- File your study list (the process used at UCSF to sign up for courses).
Registering (or formally enrolling in the University) is a separate process from filing your study list. For more information on registering, see Register for fall quarter.
To Activate Your SIS Account
After you return your registration fee deposit and your Statement of Legal Residency, the Office of the Registrar will mail you a welcome letter that will assign you an important login and password known as your SAA user ID and PIN. This login and password enables you to access a wide variety of electronic services at UCSF, including your SIS account and your UCSF e-mail account.
- Follow the instructions in the welcome letter to activate your SIS account, enter the site, and access the site's services.
- Memorize your SAA user ID and PIN, or keep it handy but secure. You will need it frequently.
If you have any questions or problems, contact the Office of the Registrar.
