The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act was signed into United States federal law in 1990 as a result of the efforts of Howard and Connie Clery, whose daughter Jeanne Ann Clery was murdered in her dorm room at Lehigh University (Bethlehem, Pennsylvania) on April 5, 1986.
