About Apple Mac OS 10.4 Tiger
Tuesday, August 9, 2005: On April 29, we had reported an incompatibility between Mac OS 10.4 Tiger and the VPN software which is required software for students. Based on information provided by our VPN administrator, we fully expect this issue to be resolved by the time you arrive for Orientation and classes this fall, and we no longer anticipate compatibility problems with Apple Mac OS 10.4 Tiger.
For more information regarding Apple OS X hardware compatibility, please refer to OS X System Requirements or consult your authorized Apple dealer.

What operating system does my computer have?
To determine what operating system your computer has, choose Start Menu > Settings > Control Panel > System (Windows) or choose "About this Macintosh..." or "About this computer..." from the Apple menu (Macintosh).
Where do I buy computer stuff?
You may purchase computer hardware or software from any vendor. We recommend the Technology Store (which is part of the University Store) because its campus locations are convenient and because students receive educational discounts on hardware and software. It provides complete computer systems as well as individual items, such as printers, mice, and cables. It also sells a wide variety of software applications.
Older Operating Systems
If you have a Windows or Macintosh operating system that is older than those listed above, you must upgrade to meet the requirement. Older operating systems include Mac OS 9, 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, Me, and 2000.
Operating System Software Not Provided
Unfortunately, we do not provide operating system software for you, so you are responsible for purchasing it.
