Students have a significant amount of freedom in choosing their project. Some students may come up with an "original" idea for their project and seek mentoring from an advisor with relevant topic area or methodological expertise. However, students are not required to come up with an "original" idea for their project. The faculty in the Pharmaceutical Health Policy & Management (PHPM) Pathway have a wide diversity of interests, and students are encouraged to select a topic that is in one of the areas of expertise of the faculty. The faculty have ongoing research programs and many ideas for students -- you can shop for the project that best fits their needs and interests! In certain circumstances, especially for more complex projects, students may work in teams with the approval of the faculty.
