Our pathway differs in the breath of topics available and in the depth of experience that can be obtained to research the chosen topic. All PharmD students must complete a project. While generally Pharmaceutical Care Pathway projects emphasize on clinical issues and Pharmaceutical Sciences Pathway projects focus on drug delivery and pharmaceutics, the PHPM projects investigate clinical, economic, patient outcomes, as well as law and ethics issues, in the context of answering health policy or business/management questions.
Our pathway differs from others in that students can use a wide variety of research methods to research their topics. For example, a student might use one or more qualitative and quantitative methods -- e.g., policy analysis, economic analysis, case studies, epidemiological studies, business plans.
