Being realistic

A research project can be an intensive effort. We realize that students have many competing interests for their time. Our goal is straightforward:

To give you the experience conducting real-world, applied health policy and management research that will give you the edge in your career and enable you to provide better healthcare for patient populations.

We are not looking for a PhD dissertation or Masters-level thesis for your PHPM project. For example, developing the design for a cost-effective diabetes clinic is one thing...implementing it is another!

You are not required to get human subjects approval for your project unless it actually involves human subjects in a research environment (as required by law). We simply ask that you fill out an "Exemption" form so that you are familiar with the issues surrounding human subjects research.
