Pharmacist Serves Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community

Drug interactions and symptom management are already difficult for many patients to fully understand. But when patients are deaf or hard of hearing, important details can be even more difficult to communicate. Thanks to Dana Testa, PharmD, a 2001 doctor of pharmacy graduate of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, the pharmacy care needs of the deaf and hard of hearing community are now coming though loud and clear at a time when medication errors for the public at large are making front page news.
