Conan MacDougall, PharmD

Professor of Clinical Pharmacy

I teach health profession trainees and practitioners about how to best use antibiotics, and I consult in the care of patients with complex infections. I study how clinicians and hospitals use antibiotics to help identify ways that antibiotics can be used most effectively while preserving their value for future generations.

B. Joseph Guglielmo, PharmD

Dean-School of Pharmacy

As dean of the UCSF School of Pharmacy, I lead the creation of the School’s strategic agenda and ensure the School has the operational framework and resources required to succeed in its mission. My work is in collaboration with the School’s department chairs, administrative leaders, and faculty. On the campus level, I join UCSF’s chancellor and other campus leaders to ensure UCSF continues its leadership in innovative health sciences research, patient care, and the graduate education of tomorrow’s scientists and clinicians. I am also a pharmacist who cares for patients, a clinical scientist, teacher, and mentor. My professional focus is on the evidence–based use of antimicrobials to treat infections.
