Lock Your Computer

Electronically locking your computer when you step away from it is an important part of computer security because it prevents unauthorized people from using your computer. This can be useful:

  • In a computer lab, cafe, or any other insecure setting
  • In an office with people coming and going
  • When your laptop is secured with a security cable but you want to take a snack or restroom break
  • When you're at home and you don't want your roommate or housemate to see your screen.
