Test tubes in the lab of UCSF School of Pharmacy scientist Francis Szoka, PhD, who develops new ways to deliver large molecules to where they are needed in the body
The Szoka lab group devises synthetic systems to deliver macromolecules across cell membranes, targeting these very large molecules to cells and organs. The group also creates novel peptides and lipids and uses these in experiments to develop therapies for genetic diseases and cancer.
